About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Designing, developing and maintaining automated test frameworks, with a particular focus on API and integration testing.
Building and maintaining automated test frameworks in Python.
Developing automated functional, regression and API test suites.
Testing REST APIs using modern tooling and frameworks.
Integrating automated tests into CI pipelines.
Investigating defects and working alongside developers to resolve them.
Improving automation coverage and identifying opportunities to make testing more efficient.
Supporting broader testing activities where required, including smoke, integration and end-to-end testing.
Contributing as part of an Agile delivery team.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid commercial experience building automation frameworks rather than simply executing automated tests.
Experience of Python test automation.
API testing using tools such as Pytest, Requests or Postman.
Building and maintaining automation frameworks.
Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps.
Git version control.
Agile delivery environments.
SQL, database testing, reporting tools such as Allure, or microservices-based applications would be useful.
