About the role
- Lead 3 to 4 teams developing high-level strategy with clients
- Manage media, influencers and social media activities
- Direct staff to develop media relationships and social media strategies
- Engage media for the agency (blog Q&A, lunch talks, etc.)
- Measure ROI of communications activities and amplify coverage
- Manage PR programs from kickoff through achieving goals
- Set goals, develop budgets and team priority allocations
- Serve as day-to-day contact for clients and ensure client success
- Lead media training sessions and develop key messages
- Produce and edit press releases, fact sheets, backgrounders, pitches and other materials
- Maintain and mentor direct reports; conduct performance reviews
- Participate in new business process, research and pitch presentations
- Use Highwire social channels and write for Highwire blog
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience growing teams and delighting clients
- Technology background and established relationships with consumer tech media
- Rock-solid writing skills
- In-depth knowledge of the technology industry
- Proficiency with digital and social media channels
- Experience measuring the ROI of communications activities
- Experience with social media influencer engagement, content campaigns, and media coverage amplification
- Exceptional client management skills
- Ability to manage PR Programs from kick off through achieving goals
- Ability to set aggressive but achievable goals
- Ability to manage through periods of change or challenge
- Ability to think clearly and project confidence amid crisis situations
- Ability to lead media training sessions with clients
- Ability to generate and edit press materials and other PR deliverables
- Ability to maintain 2 direct reports and deliver annual reviews
