About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deploy, configure, and manage Linux-based systems
- Ensure robust data protection through CommVault
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Linux-based systems
- Implement and manage backup and restore operations for both physical and virtual servers using CommVault
- Provide first-line technical assistance for Linux and CommVault-related issues
- Develop and utilize scripts (e.g., Python, Bash) to streamline routine tasks
- Collaborate with IT professionals, vendors, and other departments
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1 year of experience in one or many of the following tasks: analyzing, designing, coding, testing and implementing technical solutions, as well as providing general production support
- 1 year of technical problem solving, solution implementation, team/project collaboration
- 1 year of basic computer science concepts and principles, common operating systems, development languages/scripting
- Proficiency in Linux Operating Systems (e.g., RHEL)
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash
- Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Understanding of version control systems like Git
- Fundamental knowledge of network protocols and configuration
- Awareness of cybersecurity best practices relevant to Linux environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or relevant experience
