About the role
- Build complex and scalable application integrations for HR/Payroll solutions across various digital channels
- Participate in all aspects of integration build: idea generation, business analysis, technical design, and integration development using Workday proprietary tools
- Design and create engineering specifications; write code adhering to coding standards and perform code reviews
- Monitor technical process against project plans, safeguard functionality, scalability and performance
- Participate in agile ceremonies, assist in sprint planning, create stories/tasks, update status, and communicate blockers
- Mentor associate software engineers and perform other duties as assigned
- Comply with HIPAA, data security guidelines, and company Code of Business Conduct
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Closely Related Field (Required)
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Related Field (Preferred)
- 3 years proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
- 3 years experience in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, Informatica preferred)
- Experience with at least two of: React, Angular v4+, NodeJS, NoSQL databases, HTML5, CSS, Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services
- 3 years understanding of web services technologies such as REST, HTTPS, JSON
- 3+ years preferred with Workday skills: Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, Workday Web Services, Workday HCM and Payroll knowledge
- Knowledge of XSLT, SOAP/REST web services, Workday security concepts
- Familiarity with API management, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
- Experience with agile methodology (scrum), coding standards, unit testing, code reviews, source control, build processes
- US Citizenship required (due to contractual/access requirements)
