About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide leadership oversight to program and project managers within a value stream, likely focused on large data transformation efforts
Support delivery of projects involving enterprise data architecture, integrity, analytics, or member experience
Build collaborative relationships with Product Managers and Product Owners as part of an effective leadership trio
Ensure delivery management processes are followed correctly
Train and mentor team members to improve their skills
Step in to provide leadership support, remove obstacles, and manage stakeholders when needed
Participate in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management, and staff productivity
Plan, organize, staff, direct, and control day-to-day department operations
Develop and implement policies and programs
Manage assignment of project managers to work requests
Review project outputs, work plans, budgets, risks, communication plans, and stakeholder identification
Support resource allocation across the matrixed organization and resolve scheduling conflicts
Review project status and engage in go-to-green plans for yellow or red projects
Support issue resolution and manage escalations
Validate project budget and time-tracking progress and address budget variances
Review and approve change controls before stakeholder presentation
Facilitate lessons learned and ensure project artifacts are documented and archived
Conduct regular stakeholder meetings for critical projects and escalate issues to senior leadership
Perform other duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Business, Information Technology or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor’s degree
7 years of Project Delivery Experience
7 years of Client Relationship Management
Preferred: 3 years of Team Leadership and Management
Preferred: Product and Project Delivery
Preferred: Agile Delivery Management
