About the role

  • You manage and organize all processes of the department
  • From admissions and examination management to task planning and coordination and collaboration with external partners
  • Budget control, team leadership as well as reporting and documentation
  • You actively contribute to the drafting and further development of study and examination regulations
  • You prepare these documents for decisions by the Senate
  • You ensure the legally compliant application of examination regulations
  • You handle complex cases such as appeals, hardship cases, recognition and credit transfer
  • You advise students, academic staff and examination committees competently on organizational and legal matters
  • You take on operational tasks such as monitoring study and examination performance
  • You make decisions in borderline cases and manage special projects
  • You prepare certificates and carry out degree verifications
  • You participate in cross-departmental projects and continuously develop the workflows and processes of your department

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a university degree
  • Sound knowledge of national and international higher education structures, including grading and evaluation systems
  • Experience with examination and student administration processes
  • Professional expertise in legal frameworks (higher education and examination law, Saxony Higher Education Freedom Act, accreditation and quality management, data protection, compensatory measures, etc.)
  • Confident in project management
  • KPI-driven process management
  • Strong IT and data skills
  • Solution-oriented and structured way of thinking
  • Leadership and motivational skills
  • Efficient working style
  • Business-fluent German and English, both written and spoken
