About the role

  • Join a team of engineers and technicians specialized in optics, electronics, mechanics and software
  • Responsible for the design of products for the characterization and calibration of optronic equipment
  • Study and validate the technical and economic feasibility of collimators and their upgrades or variants
  • Specify, model and develop innovative optical systems
  • Ensure that collimators meet required performance specifications
  • Monitor technological advances to remain at the forefront of optics and optronics
  • Take full ownership of R&D project management: schedule, budget, risk management and technical coordination
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (optics, electronics, mechanics, software)
  • Act as the primary client contact and be responsible for the quality, deadlines and performance of deliverables

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher (engineering degree or PhD) in optics/optronics or equivalent
  • At least 10 years’ substantial experience managing projects with a strong optical component
  • Scientific rigor and strong writing skills
  • Curious, with a solid technical and scientific background, hands-on experimental aptitude, proactive and a team player who enjoys working on innovative solutions
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken, is essential for communication with teams and anglophone clients
