About the role
- Prepare the quarterly and year-end tax provision and tax account balance reconciliations.
- Ensure accuracy by completion of tax account reconciliations.
- Confirm appropriate application of ASC 740 to all tax positions and significant business events such as business combinations.
- Ensure accurate financial disclosures, including anticipation of material items.
- Stay abreast of industry practices.
- Documentation of tax process controls and tax provision process
- Independent auditor sign-off of effective tax process controls
- Independent auditor sign-off of accurate income tax accounts and financial statement disclosures, free of material misstatements
- Review all representations within the tax returns for accuracy.
- Accurate tax return compliance that is timely filed with necessary forms, elections, and statements.
- Required documentation maintained to support tax positions.
- Prevention of interest/Penalty assessments from tax authorities.
- Research tax guidance to determine an accurate estimate and reporting of taxable income.
- Review federal, state, and international tax returns.
- Review income tax payment calculations and manage the payment of all taxes.
- Manage tax examination inquiries.
- Research complex federal, state, and international tax issues across a broad range of taxes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a relevant field: accounting, business administration, economics, finance
- 5+ years of tax experience
- Skilled with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.,)
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- CPA license (preferred)
- Oracle, Hyperion, Workiva (preferred)
- Experience in consumer products industry , multinational and complex structures, and fast-paced environment (preferred)
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent multitasking skills, time management and efficiency
- Excellent team building and ability to lead a team.
