Key responsibilities & impact

Overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the mine while ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Development, implementation, and administration of a comprehensive occupational health and safety plan
Coordinating with technical services such as engineering, geology, and operations teams
Supporting the overall business strategy by playing a critical role in fostering a productive and motivated workforce
Driving continuous improvement in health and safety standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) or equivalent in mine engineering, geology, geological engineering or related field
Eight or more years of related experience and/or training, in a supervisory capacity
Prior supervisory experience and MSHA instructor certification required
Ability to obtain ATF Possessor's Clearance
Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
Pass a position-specific physical demands assessment
