About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and execute the long-term vision and strategy for Organic Social & Creator Networks in alignment with enterprise marketing and business objectives.
- Transform Organic Social from a campaign-driven promotional function into an audience-first entertainment ecosystem focused on building enduring fandoms.
- Establish investment strategies, and success metrics across priority brands, genres, franchises, and intellectual property for the platforms
- Balance immediate marketing support with long-term audience development initiatives that strengthen brand equity and business growth.
- Own audience community strategy across A+E's portfolio.
- Develop strategies that cultivate passionate communities around A+E's priority brands, genres, franchises, and IP
- Champion audience-first thinking by leveraging fan insights, platform behaviors, cultural trends, and research to shape strategy
- Build communities that generate repeat engagement, advocacy, loyalty, and measurable brand affinity
- Establish owned social content strategy across platforms, ensuring content reflects platform-native audience behaviors
- Define and evolve A+E's creator ecosystem strategy, including ambassador programs, long-term creator partnerships, and scalable creator communities
- Establish effective talent & production company management practices to help partners best represent A+E Global Media brands & franchises in the social space
- Continuously evaluate emerging platforms, creators, technologies, and consumer behaviors to keep A+E at the forefront of digital entertainment
- Identify opportunities where fandom development and creator partnerships can generate additional commercial value through sponsorships, branded content, and strategic partnerships
- Build, lead, and develop a best-in-class Organic Social & Creator Networks organization recognized for creativity, innovation, collaboration, and strategic business partnership
- Lead a shift in how the organization approaches social media—from promotional marketing to entertainment, community, and audience engagement.
- Lead a team, developing future leaders while creating scalable processes, workflows, and operating models that maximize impact despite resource constraints.
- Inspire innovative thinking by encouraging calculated risk-taking, testing new ideas, and learning quickly from outcomes.
- Optimize agency partnerships, technology, and internal resources to deliver strong results efficiently
- Establish investment strategies, and success metrics across priority brands, genres, franchises, and intellectual property
- Develop success metrics that evaluate community health, engagement quality, audience loyalty, brand affinity, creator ecosystem effectiveness, and business impact.
- Foster a culture of experimentation by encouraging innovative approaches and rapid learning.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, AI tools, platform innovations, and operational improvements that enhance organizational effectiveness.
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in digital marketing, audience development, organic social media, creator partnerships, media, entertainment, or related disciplines.
- At least 5 years leading high-performing, cross-functional teams within matrixed organizations
- At least 5 years of demonstrated success developing long-term audience strategies for major consumer brands, media companies, entertainment properties, or platform-based businesses
- Deep expertise across today's evolving social ecosystem, including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, Meta platforms, emerging creator ecosystems, and future platform trends
