Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee strategic direction of A+E Global Media editorial websites and content
Oversee story planning and development
Top edit and review content for publication
Develop editorial calendars across History, A+E, and Lifetime
Create and manage editorial processes, schedules, and workflows
Work with Content Strategy team to review metrics methodically and frequently
Manage section editors and help them develop
Collaborate with Programming to create content around shows

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 10 years of progressive journalism experience
Experience managing budgets
Demonstrated effectiveness in managing complex editorial projects with multiple stakeholders
Mastery of best practices for all aspects of editorial process for digital publications
Excellent presentation skills
Proficiency with a CMS; familiarity with Airtable and metrics tools such as Adobe or Parse.ly
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Deep understanding of journalistic standards and practices
Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
Availability to balance near term business needs with innovation for the future
BA/BS degree in related degree required.
