Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field required
- Newsroom reporting experience with strong news writing skills
- Familiarity with AP style
- Strong reporting, interviewing, and newsgathering skills
- Sound news judgment
- Ability to work effectively under deadline
- Curiosity and initiative
- Genuine interest in local communities
- Comfort with digital storytelling and audience-focused journalism
- Willingness to spend significant time outside the newsroom building relationships, attending community events, and finding stories where people live and work
