About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the sales team throughout the advertising sales process for assigned accounts across Hearst Magazines’ portfolio of 30 brands, spanning print, digital, and social
- Respond to inbound advertising requests and serve as a liaison between clients and the sales team
- Complete advertising RFPs accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate client-facing requests, including mass email communications, editorial credits, and other sales support needs
- Partner with Business Managers to process insertion orders and maintain sales documentation and paperwork
- Prepare competitive share-of-market reports and analyses
- Support client prospecting by monitoring trade media for client news, industry developments, and potential opportunities
- Manage monthly sales expenses and coordinate travel and other administrative needs for the team
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1+ year of experience in sales support, media, advertising, customer service, or a related environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Customer-focused approach to working with clients and colleagues
- Organization, resourcefulness, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivation and a collaborative mindset
- Interest in learning and growing within media, advertising, or sales
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work effectively across teams and build positive working relationships with internal and external partners
- Based in New York City and required to work in the office four days per week
