About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead full-cycle recruitment across editorial, creative, product, sales, marketing, and corporate functions, focusing on senior-level and business-critical hires
- Partner with hiring managers and business leaders to understand priorities and develop hiring strategies
- Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and strategic guidance throughout hiring processes
- Develop proactive sourcing strategies to identify, engage, and attract passive talent
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience reflecting Hearst's culture and values
- Use recruiting metrics, market data, and talent insights to evaluate hiring effectiveness and improve outcomes
- Contribute to talent acquisition initiatives that improve recruiting processes, operational efficiency, and team performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience or equivalent experience
- Proven success recruiting senior-level and business-critical talent across multiple business functions
- Experience supporting editorial, creative, product, sales, marketing, and corporate hiring
- Strong consultative, relationship-building, and influencing skills
- Ability to partner effectively with hiring managers and business leaders
- Ability to develop creative sourcing strategies and engage passive talent for complex or hard-to-fill positions
- Experience using recruiting data, market intelligence, and talent insights to inform hiring decisions
- Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills
- Experience with applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing tools
- Experience in media, publishing, digital content, entertainment, or a related industry is preferred
- Experience in government contracting, regulated industries, or compliance-focused environments is preferred
- Hybrid schedule requiring four days per week in the New York City office
