About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Produce and direct high-quality video shoots in studio and on location
- Develop creative pre-production materials for timely, buzzworthy, and culturally relevant moments
- Lead productions from call time through wrap
- Coordinate talent, crew, editorial teams, and brand stakeholders
- Create video content for Cosmopolitan, Delish, Esquire, ELLE, Harper's BAZAAR, and Good Housekeeping
- Produce social-first clips for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and emerging channels
- Manage crew coordination, transportation, releases, scheduling, media delivery, and on-set operations
- Maintain production budgets and timelines
- Collaborate with editors, post-production, graphics, and production teams
- Deliver polished content under tight deadlines
- Monitor video performance and use audience insights, platform trends, and analytics to inform creative strategy
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience in video production, preferably in fast-paced editorial, digital media, entertainment, or similar environments
- Experience producing and directing longform and short-form video content for YouTube, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other social channels
- Experience directing celebrity or high-profile talent
- Strong editorial instincts and visual storytelling, pacing, framing, and audience engagement skills
- Deep knowledge of pop culture, emerging digital trends, and social video best practices
- Ability to manage multiple projects, shifting priorities, and tight deadlines
- Collaborative, adaptable, and resourceful with outstanding communication and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with Adobe Premiere is a plus
- Experience in editorial video production is preferred
- Hybrid role based in New York City; expected to work in the office four days per week
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends is required
