About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assisting with personal cares (showering, bathing)
Assisting with household management and meal preparation
Supporting exercise programmes
Assisting with accessing the community
Bowel, Bladder, and Catheter cares
Moving and handling hoists and manual transfers
Medication support

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ideally prior personal care experience is preferred
Familiarity with complex medical conditions, like spinal injuries, traumatic brain injury
A Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification is beneficial and those looking to enter the healthcare sector will also be considered
Access to your own car and a Full Driver’s License is a requirement of the role
Flexibility to work on a rotating roster
Legal right to work in New Zealand is a must.
