About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee the daily operations of the continuum of surgical services and med-surg nursing departments.
  • Supervise nursing and support staff.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels by assisting with scheduling, assignments, and workload distribution.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient care practices.
  • Mentor, coach, and provide ongoing education and training to OR nursing staff.
  • Participate in quality assurance and process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in incident investigations and implementation of corrective actions.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or related field required.
  • 3+ years of experience in a healthcare or clinical coordination role, preferably in musculoskeletal care or surgical services.
  • Licensed clinician (RN) strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of musculoskeletal clinical practices, workflows, or rehabilitation care preferred.
  • Knowledge of government regulations and codes including but not limited to The Joint Commission, DNV, State Agencies, ARRA, COLA, Pharmacy Board, and Nursing Board.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of professional, administrative, technical and clerical staff in both a direct and indirect influential situation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to effectively use computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, E-mail, and database software in performing work assignments.
