About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver training sessions in Manual Handling, Basic Life Support, Medications for care workers, and HISS skill sets
- Deliver training on PEG tubes and feeding, Bowel and Bladder care, Diabetes and Insulin Pen administration, Epilepsy and Midazolam, ANTT, Aggression handling, Tracheostomy care, Falls prevention, Dementia care awareness, and related topics
- Conduct training virtually or face-to-face
- Use provided session plans and resources to deliver courses
- Assess learners through practical observation
- Mark theoretical tests
- Support adult learning and student success
- Travel between training locations
Requirements
What you’ll need- TAE40116 or TAE40122 qualification, or recent clinical training experience
- Current AHPRA registration
- Registered Nurse experience in acute, aged care and/or disability support/NDIS settings, with preference for disability experience
- Experience delivering healthcare training, including Manual Handling, BLS, Medications and NDIS High Intensity Skills Standards topics
- Confidence using technology to deliver courses virtually or face-to-face
- Driver’s licence and vehicle to travel between locations
- COVID-19 vaccination
- Must reside in Australia and hold full working rights in Australia
