About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define and champion the organization’s technology vision and multi-year IT strategic plan in alignment with overall business strategy.
Develop roadmaps for key capabilities (e.g., digital platforms, EDI/data management, infrastructure upgrades) and ensure IT initiatives deliver measurable business value.
Establish and maintain IT governance processes (e.g., architecture review, change control, portfolio management) for effective decision-making and risk management.
Act as a business partner to the COO, CEO, and other C-level leaders, translating business goals into IT priorities and ensuring technology initiatives are integrated into enterprise planning.
Lead enterprise-wide technology transformation initiatives, such as modernizing legacy systems, migrating to cloud-based solutions, and implementing advanced analytics and AI to enhance operations.
Ensure the company’s IT environment meets the highest standards of security, privacy, and regulatory compliance (especially crucial in the healthcare domain).
Oversee the reliable delivery of all IT services – from core infrastructure uptime to application support.
Develop and manage the IT budget in line with corporate objectives, driving cost-effective use of resources.
Build and lead a high-performing IT leadership team, mentoring subordinate technology leaders (e.g., Head of Infrastructure, Security, Application Dev).

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
15+ years of experience in information technology, including at least 5–7 years in a senior IT executive role (CIO, CTO, or similar) for a mid-to-large enterprise.
Proven experience leading large-scale IT transformations and managing diverse technology functions (software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, etc.).
Experience in healthcare, specifically working with a health plan is required due to the need for compliance and secure handling of sensitive data.
