About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define the billing state machine, enforced handoffs, and guardrails so new appointments are billed correctly without manual intervention
Build trusted financial datasets, dashboards, and general-ledger/audit outputs for Finance and Accounting
Own the billing platform architecture and roadmap, including ledger, reconciliation, and data-integrity systems
Partner with Data and Engineering to monitor payment and reconciliation health and drive systemic fixes
Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Compliance to make financial reporting and audit preparation trustworthy and fast
Serve as the platform for Provider Payouts, Payer Collections, and Pricing teams to build on
Translate ledger realities between accounting/operations and engineering audiences

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years building billing platforms, ledgers, or accounting systems
Ideally experience in healthcare, fintech, or marketplaces with complex payment flows
Comfortable working deeply with engineering teams on complex technical problems
Ability to drive difficult architectural decisions
Ability to partner with Finance, Accounting, and Compliance as well as Engineering
Ability to translate ledger realities into actionable language for different audiences
Strong, clear, and concise communication skills
Authorization to work in the United States for any employer
Must disclose whether visa sponsorship is currently or in the future required
