About the role
- Lead and scale the revenue accounting function, ensuring compliance with ASC 606, internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide strategic input to build scalable revenue systems and drive process improvements.
- Oversee end-to-end revenue accounting operations and month-end close activities related to revenue.
- Prepare for and manage the revenue portion of the financial audit.
- Partner cross-functionally on revenue-impacting initiatives to ensure alignment and effective execution.
- Develop and maintain robust revenue accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
- Hire, build, mentor, and model best-in-class practices for a high-performing revenue accounting team.
Requirements
- 10+ years of accounting experience, including 4+ years focused specifically on revenue recognition at high-growth companies.
- At least 5 years of experience managing a team of 2 or more.
- CPA with Big 4 or large public accounting firm experience.
- Deep expertise in ASC 606, including variable consideration, with ability to apply technical guidance and operationalize policies, processes, and controls.
- Experience managing month-end close activities and preparing for financial audits.
- Experience building scalable revenue systems and driving process improvements.
- Cross-functional collaboration experience with Finance, Legal, Data, Engineering, Product, and other teams on revenue-impacting initiatives.
