About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

You will take on the functional (and optionally disciplinary) leadership of a digital marketing team and work directly with executive management.
At the same time, you will advise clients as a trusted partner on the development and implementation of modern marketing and growth strategies across all relevant digital channels.
You will analyze business models, marketing setups, and growth levers.
You will develop strategies that drive company objectives — not short-lived trends or vanity metrics.
You will remain hands-on and understand the mechanics of modern digital campaigns.
You will optimize not only campaigns but the entire customer journey.
You will be responsible for a team of approximately four to six marketing specialists based in Hamburg.
You will coordinate collaboration between clients, strategists, marketing specialists, and other project stakeholders.

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in digital marketing
Experience at a digital marketing agency, digital consultancy, in e-commerce, or a comparable environment
Proven track record in developing and executing digital marketing strategies
Strong understanding of performance marketing, customer journeys, and funnel logic
Ability to translate marketing activities into measurable business results
Hands-on experience with relevant marketing platforms and campaign systems (Meta, Google, LinkedIn, etc.)
Experience in leading team members functionally (disciplinary leadership experience is a plus)
Strong interest in AI and modern technologies
Excellent communication skills in German and English
