About the role
- You take overall responsibility for all software development.
- You are the central interface, connecting technical expertise with strategic, business-oriented insight.
- You coach and develop the Tech Leads and their teams (currently approx. 60 employees).
- In close coordination with the Tech Leads, you define the technical strategy, architecture standards and the company-wide tool landscape.
- You optimize and establish efficient processes across teamwork, agile methods, quality assurance and CI/CD.
- You are responsible for strategic resource planning, project allocation and monitoring in close collaboration with project management and executive leadership.
- You actively shape the entire recruiting and onboarding process.
Requirements
- Several years of proven leadership experience in a comparable Lead or Head-of-Engineering role, ideally within an agency or consulting environment.
- Specific experience leading team leads (not just individual developers).
- Deep, solid understanding of modern software development, architectural principles and agile ways of working.
- Proven success in team development and team building (recruiting, performance reviews).
- Confident handling of budget planning, controlling and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to act as an interface between executive management, HR, sales and development teams.
- You have strategic vision, drive change and enjoy optimizing processes (hands-on mentality).
