About the role

  • Acquire new customers in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and, prospectively, in other European markets
  • Build and maintain your own lead lists and actively research relevant industries and target contacts
  • Manage the entire sales cycle: qualification, needs analysis, product demos, proposal development, contracts, handover to delivery
  • Support new customers during kick-offs, internal debriefings and early project phases
  • Ongoing management and expansion of your customer portfolio, including up- and cross-selling
  • Work with certified partners & certified agencies to gain first‑hand insight into market trends and customer needs
  • Reporting, forecasting and maintenance of all customer data
  • Conduct market and competitor analyses (SaaS, reporting, corporate publishing)
  • Develop new market strategies, segment focus and growth initiatives
  • Identify new business opportunities: standalone solutions, module potential, product ideas from market feedback
  • Build strategic partnerships (e.g., resellers, agency networks)
  • Participate in internal trainings, webinars and knowledge-transfer sessions
  • Work closely with product management – you bring customer feedback directly into the roadmap
  • Support events, trade shows, webinars and joint marketing campaigns.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience after completing education/training
  • At least 2 years in B2B software sales / SaaS or equivalent business development with a sales focus
  • Ideally experience selling SaaS solutions in Corporate Performance Management (CPM), Financial Reporting, DMS, CMS, DAM / Asset Management, PIM, DXP, IT workspace & collaboration, project management software, agency software, publishing software, business software, process management software or similar
  • Strong presentation skills, enthusiastic and persuasive, excellent communicator
  • Basic technical understanding (Dev / IT) and genuine interest in complex software solutions
  • Highly motivated to close flagship projects and to work with large enterprises
  • Strong curiosity for market developments in Corporate Reporting / ESG / Finance
  • Resilient, solution-oriented and able to perform under pressure
  • High availability, self‑reliance and organizational skills
  • Very good German and very good English.

  • Negotiable – salary is structured as 70% base plus uncapped commissions, i.e., annual pay can be significantly higher (> €90k) depending on performance
