About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Join HCCS as a DRG Validator for coding and auditing tasks
- Deliver high-quality coding services to clients
- Identify coding opportunities and validate DRG assignments
- Provide detailed audit findings and collaborate effectively
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active AHIMA or AAPC coding certification required
- CCS certification required
- CDIP and/or CCDS certification preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of recent APR-DRG/DRG coding experience in a Level II Trauma Center or higher
- Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient auditing experience in a Level II Trauma Center or higher
- Previous DRG/APR-DRG validation experience required
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding guidelines, MS-DRG/APR-DRG assignment, reimbursement methodologies, and documentation requirements
- Ability to identify coding opportunities, validate DRG assignment, and provide clear audit findings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Must reside in the United States.
