About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Leadership and development of the purchasing team
Development and establishment of a sustainable, strategically aligned purchasing organization
Creation of procurement strategies for the sourcing of milled, turned, mechanical, and electronic components
Monitoring procurement markets, identifying new sourcing channels, and achieving cost optimizations
Responsibility for contract management in the area of supply and framework agreements including tenders and bid evaluations
Procurement of capital goods, energy, tools, and purchased parts
Conducting price and contract negotiations, optimizing purchase prices and procurement quality
Analysis and implementation of cost reduction potentials as well as inventory optimizations
Ensuring delivery security and price stability while adhering to quality standards
Close collaboration with interfaces
Communication and cooperation with the purchasing organization of HAWE Hydraulik SE

Requirements

What you’ll need

Successfully completed degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable qualification
Several years of solid professional experience in technical purchasing, ideally in a manufacturing company
Experience in leading and developing a team is an advantage
Knowledge of SAP or another ERP system is desirable
Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, as well as a structured, responsible, and solution-oriented working style
Good conceptual skills, high initiative, and a strong quality awareness
High level of teamwork and intercultural competence
Business-fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
Willingness to travel
