About the role
- The Procurement Manager, Packaging and Special Projects is a dynamic high visibility role working directly with suppliers and cross functionally across the organization with operations, sales, marketing, finance, and other departments to optimize the packaging presentation and cost structure of Hawaiian Host Group’s high-quality products.
Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing the procurement functions that are related to the manufacturing process. This includes purchasing functions for consumables, raw materials, packaging materials, and supplies related to the manufacturing process. Additionally, this role will have responsibilities relating to cost-saving packaging projects, new product introductions, packaging sustainability efforts, and additional special projects across the procurement function
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, or equivalent.
Must have at least five (5) years of experience in the field related to procurement.
Must have at least three (3) years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
Must have at least three (3) years of experience in sourcing, selecting, and designing new product packaging solutions across various materials and formats
Experience with Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, Oracle Fusion, NetSuite, or other Enterprise Resource Planning Software.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
High level of analytical ability, to resolve complex problems.
Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
CPSM or CSCP certification desired.
