About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Sr. Account Executive in developing, organizing, and maintaining target account lists for assigned retail, material handling, distribution, logistics, hospitality, grocery, quick-service restaurant, and specialty retail accounts.
  • Conduct account and market research to identify key decision makers, influencers, procurement contacts, technology stakeholders, current solutions in use, and potential business needs within target accounts.
  • Assist with outbound prospecting activities, including email outreach, phone calls, LinkedIn engagement, meeting requests, and follow-up communications as directed by the Sr. Account Executive.
  • Qualify leads and opportunities by gathering relevant account information, documenting customer needs, identifying potential fit for Havis products and escalating qualified opportunities to the Sr. Account Executive.
  • Maintain accurate and timely account, contact, activity, and pipeline information in company-approved sales tools, including CRM and prospecting platforms.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, account briefs, call notes, opportunity summaries, follow-up tasks, and other materials that support the Sr. Account Executive’s customer meetings and account development activities.
  • Participate in customer discovery calls, internal account reviews, product discussions, and pipeline meetings to learn the sales process, capture key information, and support timely next steps.
  • Coordinate with internal sales, marketing, engineering, and customer support teams to gather information, request materials, schedule follow-up, and help ensure customer needs are addressed professionally.
  • Assist in preparing and tailoring customer-facing presentations, product overviews, sales decks, and proposal inputs in partnership with the Sr. Account Executive and Havis Brand Team.
  • Develop working knowledge of Havis products, applications, target markets, partner ecosystem, and customer use cases to effectively support sales conversations and identify relevant solution opportunities.
  • Monitor prospective and existing customer engagement activity, track follow-up commitments, and help ensure timely communication after meetings, demos, events, and outreach campaigns.
  • Support brand awareness and business development by helping share approved Havis product announcements, company updates, event information, and relevant customer-facing content through professional channels, including LinkedIn.
  • Assist with trade show preparation, customer visit planning, partner meeting coordination, sample logistics, lead capture, and post-event follow-up as directed by the Sr. Account Executive or Director of Sales.
  • Travel as needed and as directed to support customer meetings, trade shows, product demonstrations, partner activities, and regional business development priorities.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • One to three years of professional experience in sales, business development, customer service, account support, or another customer-facing role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in marketing, sales, business administration, communications, or a related field.
  • Interest in business-to-business sales, technology products, engineered solutions, hardware, and equipment-based solutions.
  • Experience using CRM systems such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or comparable platforms to manage prospects, opportunities, activities, and pipeline reporting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with the ability to create customer-facing materials, and manage account data professionally.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to conduct outreach, document customer information, and communicate professionally.
  • Demonstrated initiative, coachability, attention to detail, follow-through, and desire to grow into a progressively more independent sales role.
  • Comfortable working in a high-growth environment that requires initiative, adaptability, collaboration, and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Interest in learning and presenting a detailed product portfolio, including technical product features, customer applications, and solution fit.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support customer visits, regional account development, trade shows, partner meetings, product demonstrations and other business needs.
