About the role
- Develop and maintain core project artifacts, including: Project Management Plan (PMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Risk Register, Communications Plan, Quality Management Plan.
- Manage scope, schedule, and cost performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Track deliverables and ensure alignment with contract requirements and performance objectives.
- Coordinate cross-functional technical teams, including software engineering, cloud, data engineering, and cybersecurity.
- Support Agile and hybrid delivery models (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, where applicable).
- Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Monitor sprint velocity, backlog health, and release planning.
- Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes to enhance predictability and quality.
- Serve as a primary day-to-day interface to government Program Managers and technical stakeholders.
- Support program reviews, milestone meetings, and executive briefings.
- Communicate project status, risks, and performance metrics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Gather stakeholder feedback to inform prioritization and improve delivery outcomes.
- Collaborate with government stakeholders to clarify requirements and mission objectives.
- Ensure traceability between requirements, development tasks, and deliverables.
- Support development of CONOPS, technical roadmaps, and phased capability releases.
- Coordinate integration across software applications, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and data platforms.
- Monitor project financial performance, labor utilization, and contract ceilings.
- Support Earned Value Management (EVM) tracking where applicable.
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate subcontractor and vendor performance to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain a proactive risk management framework addressing technical, operational, regulatory, and security risks.
- Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity and security standards (e.g., NIST, RMF, FedRAMP where applicable).
- Maintain audit readiness and documentation integrity.
- Support definition and tracking of KPIs tied to mission performance and system effectiveness.
- Monitor delivery metrics and stakeholder feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure alignment between delivered capabilities and measurable mission impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
- 5–8 years of progressive project management experience in federal IT environments.
- Experience supporting software development, cloud solutions, or enterprise data platforms.
- Working knowledge of: Federal acquisition processes (FAR/DFARS), Risk management practices, Cost and schedule performance tracking, Federal cybersecurity compliance frameworks
- Experience using project management and Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Project, etc.).
- Active Secret clearance.
