About the role
- Serve as the go-to technical leader and EOR across multiple projects for major Grocery clients.
- Lead the design and QA/QC of mechanical systems, with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, and controls.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, championing high standards and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with architects and fellow engineers to produce high-quality construction documents.
- Drive sustainability initiatives—especially around decarbonization and carbon-neutral HVAC systems.
- Interface directly with clients to understand goals, solve challenges, and deliver innovative solutions.
- Act as a thought leader in energy modeling, energy codes, and system performance optimization.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in the Grocery sector with a strong understanding of project types and client needs.
- Licensed PE with multi-state capabilities (or willing to become licensed in multiple states).
- Strong grasp of energy modeling, decarbonization strategies, and modern sustainability practices.
- Ability to work independently while leading complex projects with minimal oversight.
- Proficiency in mechanical systems design, including HVAC, plumbing, sewer, gas, and water systems.
- Passion for coaching others and building a strong engineering culture.
