Apply strong platform engineering principles to create automated, reusable, and self-service solutions that improve developer experience and enable teams to deliver faster and more consistently.
Drive high-quality platform design and engineering standards.

Embed best practices that simplify and standardise how we build and run services.
Play a key part in mentoring and supporting engineers, influencing technical direction, and collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality, cloud-native solutions aligned with HL goals.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Extensive experience with public cloud services and cloud-native architectures, including networking, security, and governance.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for complex automation workflows.
Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker), and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes)
Deep understanding of cloud security frameworks, identity management, and compliance standards (e.g., ISO, SOC, GDPR).
Proven ability to design scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient cloud solutions in enterprise environments.
Strong analytical skills to resolve complex technical challenges and make strategic decisions.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to a range of stakeholders
Experience mentoring or supporting the development of other engineers clearly.
