Legal Manager, DPO
HarfangLabLegal Manager managing legal affairs and compliance at HarfangLab. Responsible for contractual negotiations, data protection regulation compliance, and intellectual property protection.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain HarfangLab’s legal framework so that it aligns with the company’s strategy, new regulations, and client requirements across the French and European markets
- Support contractual negotiations and responses to tenders with clients and partners, and assist the sales and operations teams in managing contractual matters
- Protect our intellectual property and trademarks by consolidating and strengthening existing processes and measures
- Provide legal advice on any issue that may arise within the organization, acting as a trusted legal reference for teams
- Inform and advise HarfangLab and its employees on the application of data protection regulations (GDPR and national law)
- Monitor compliance with data protection regulations and internal policies, notably by implementing the GDPR compliance roadmap and contributing to HarfangLab’s continuous improvement
- Conduct and oversee Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) in coordination with the CISO and relevant stakeholders
- Act as the contact point for data subjects regarding their rights and handle related requests
- Cooperate with the CNIL (and other competent supervisory authorities), particularly in the event of incidents or data breaches.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3 to 5 years of experience in a legal department, ideally within the technology sector
- Master’s degree in law, with a specialization in technology law, contract law, or data protection
- Strong knowledge of the GDPR and European data protection frameworks
- Proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken
- Curiosity about LegalTech and AI tools and a willingness to implement them in daily practice
