About the role
- Edit highly engaging, entertaining, visually fresh content for social media platforms
- Receive and address feedback on edits
- Manage multiple freelance projects and meet deadlines
- Work closely with analytics to develop best practices and improve performance
- Keep performance goals top of mind and ensure targets are hit or exceeded
- Stay up to date with market and social media trends
- Source and edit B-roll for longer formats like VSLs and YouTube ads
- Collaborate with in-house producers and content creators using original and UGC footage
Requirements
- Experienced and creative Freelance Video Editor
- Edit editorial and branded content for organic and paid social media campaigns
- Familiarity with YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok
- Experience with UGC content and B-roll sourcing/editing for VSLs and YouTube ads
- Strong technical skills in editing, color correction/grading, and sound mixing
- Strong creative instincts and good editorial judgment
- Experience with D2C e-commerce brands (preferred)
- Able to work during EU hours (GMT)
- Ability to collaborate and work independently
- Familiarity with social media trends and viral topics
- Understanding of DTC environment and ad-sales integration
- Empathy for target audience to convey right emotions in videos
