About the role
- Freelance Video Editor role at Happy Mammoth, a natural food tech company selling across Australia, Europe, and the United States. Edit editorial and branded content for organic and paid social media campaigns across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Work with original footage, UGC, and source/edit B-roll for longer formats like VSLs and YouTube ads. Collaborate with in-house producers and content creators; manage multiple freelance projects and meet deadlines. Use analytics to develop best practices and improve performance; stay up to date with social media trends.
Requirements
- Excellent video editing skills. Familiarity with social media trends or viral topics. Experience with content that’s social-first around themes such as health + fitness, and supplements is a plus. Strong creative instincts and abilities when it comes to enhancing video footage, including color correction/grading and sound mixing. An understanding of how business and creative can work together, and how things like ad sales contribute to your ability to make great content. Good editorial judgment, taste, understanding of quality, authority, popularity, and topic diversity for video content. Proficient with YouTube/TikTok/Instagram/FB and other video platforms Understanding of the DTC environment and needs. Empathy for our target audience in order to be able to convey the right emotions in your videos.
