About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide leadership and coordination for Corporate Spiritual Care Services across hospital sites
  • Deliver direct spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff
  • Complete spiritual care assessments and document care in accordance with regulations
  • Collaborate with interprofessional teams for complex care and bereavement support
  • Build and sustain relationships with community faith leaders and stakeholders
  • Support recruitment and development of spiritual care staff and volunteers
  • Promote evidence-informed practice and continuous quality improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree in theology, divinity, spiritual care, counselling, psychotherapy or related graduate-level discipline
  • Certification as a Spiritual Care Practitioner with CASC/ACSS or progress toward certification is required
  • Preferred registration with CRPO or active progress toward registration
  • Endorsement by a faith community or connection to a recognized spiritual community is preferred
  • Minimum of two years of relevant clinical spiritual care experience in healthcare environment
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in spiritual care or related healthcare program is preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of spiritual care assessment and therapeutic interventions
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
