About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide leadership and coordination for Corporate Spiritual Care Services across hospital sites
- Deliver direct spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff
- Complete spiritual care assessments and document care in accordance with regulations
- Collaborate with interprofessional teams for complex care and bereavement support
- Build and sustain relationships with community faith leaders and stakeholders
- Support recruitment and development of spiritual care staff and volunteers
- Promote evidence-informed practice and continuous quality improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in theology, divinity, spiritual care, counselling, psychotherapy or related graduate-level discipline
- Certification as a Spiritual Care Practitioner with CASC/ACSS or progress toward certification is required
- Preferred registration with CRPO or active progress toward registration
- Endorsement by a faith community or connection to a recognized spiritual community is preferred
- Minimum of two years of relevant clinical spiritual care experience in healthcare environment
- Demonstrated leadership experience in spiritual care or related healthcare program is preferred
- Advanced knowledge of spiritual care assessment and therapeutic interventions
- Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
