About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Shape, measure, and continuously improve global tax process elements to deliver business value
- Partner with the Business Process Owner and other Business Process Experts to manage current processes and define the future end-to-end process vision and roadmap
- Design high-quality, well-controlled, user-centric processes and drive transition from current state to future state
- Facilitate workshops, gather stakeholder input, and refine process designs
- Document “to be” processes and evaluate “as is” processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and duplication
- Drive decisions through governance forums and communicate decisions to stakeholders
- Align designs with programme timelines, milestones, functional areas, and interdependent programmes
- Evaluate functional-area readiness for programme delivery, identify gaps, and propose solutions
- Support change teams in assessing people implications and delivering adoption interventions
- Create process documentation and partner with Training & Adoption to develop training and upskilling
- Establish and manage interim operating states with the Business Continuity Manager
- Design and implement interim processes with operational teams and plan sustainable transition to permanent processes
- Foster stakeholder relationships, communicate programme objectives, and champion the process vision
- Support performance management, adoption oversight, continuous improvement, and benefit realisation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Deep expertise across global tax processes, including CIT, indirect tax, transfer pricing, and customs
- Experience with tax determination, reporting, and compliance
- Ability to combine tax data and controls knowledge to design automated, first-time-right processes
- Experience integrating tax into upstream and downstream processes
- Experience working in complex, global organisations, ideally in Consumer Health or FMCG sectors
- Analytical skills to analyse complex processes, understand workflow patterns, and identify inefficiencies
- Knowledge of process modelling software and data analysis tools
- Familiarity with automation technologies
- Project management skills to plan, manage, and execute process improvement initiatives
- Ability to lead, inspire, energize, and motivate teams
- Ability to build strong collaborative relationships
- Ability to evaluate challenges from multiple perspectives, analyse potential outcomes, take calculated risks, and make informed decisions
- Ability to identify the need for change and execute structured change management strategies
- Ability to guide teams through uncertainty and disruption while maintaining operational stability and continuity
