Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the primary driver of the company’s legislative and regulatory strategy within the California State Capitol
Develop and implement a California-focused government affairs plan
Monitor, research, and evaluate California state legislative proposals impacting the company's operations
Advocate for the company's positions before the California Legislature and relevant agencies

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in state government affairs, lobbying, public policy, or related field
Strong knowledge of state legislative and regulatory processes and procedures in California
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to develop and execute effective state government affairs strategies and tactics
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with state policymakers and trade associations
Ability to travel frequently within the Western States region
