About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft and review firm engagement letters, conflict waiver letters, outside counsel guidelines
- Prioritize and manage a high volume of emails and other communications related to conflicts and new client engagements
- Manage and respond to partner requests for changes in client engagement letters
- Assist in training other firm members in drafting engagement letters and conflicts waivers, as required
- Assist with a wide range of research and other requests as needed
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of two years’ legal experience, preferably in new business intake and/or conflicts in a mid to large-sized law firm
- Preferred Knowledge of legal processes, business entities, and transactional concepts, including financing, emerging companies, and M&A, as they relate to conflicts of interest
- Familiarity with legal ethics, risk management, and the Rules of Professional Conduct
- Experience with Intapp, Contract Express, iManage, and Aderant
- Experience in a transactional law firm environment
