About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate with the Product Manager to deliver the product vision, strategy, and roadmap
- Provide vision and direction to the agile development team throughout projects
- Communicate product strategy and partner with development teams and business system analysts to deliver features
- Refine and groom program-level backlogs and translate features into user stories with clear acceptance criteria
- Participate in scrum events and iteration pre-planning
- Plan and prioritize product feature backlogs and prepare detailed user stories during iteration planning
- Coordinate and participate in sprint reviews and retrospectives
- Build, edit, and maintain team backlogs, including defects, enablers, and technical debt
- Coordinate testing, plan User Acceptance Testing, manage test credentials, report and resolve defects, and accept completed user stories
- Maintain product documentation and product requirements documentation
- Resolve escalations, remove blockers, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Track cross-team dependencies and coordinate hand-offs
- Lead feature-level release planning and participate in post-production validation
- Identify process inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years related work experience, including at least 2 years in product organization, agile execution, or related product execution roles
- Related Bachelor’s degree or additional related equivalent work experience
- In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
- Demonstrated experience working in agile and iterative development environments
- Ability to communicate complex product requirements to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with product backlog management and user story writing
- Strong critical thinking, collaboration, and stakeholder alignment skills
- Business knowledge of Florida Blue Lean/Six Sigma or Product Owner certification (preferred)
- Experience leading teams in a matrix environment with reporting responsibilities to two or more different areas (preferred)
