About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a direct liaison between BCBSF strategic accounts and the clinical component of the health plan
  • Validate, manipulate, analyze and interpret information from technical business platforms
  • Identify group-specific cost drivers, trends, actionable opportunities and solutions
  • Conduct clinical analysis and customized evaluations of account performance, benchmarks and clinical trends
  • Develop client-specific initiatives to improve satisfaction, retention and new business acquisition
  • Research evolving healthcare strategies through industry and market assessments, predictive modeling, benchmarking and competitor analyses
  • Translate corporate strategies into tactical applications for strategic accounts
  • Manage multiple groups, complex issues and projects simultaneously
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal and external teams
  • Provide frameworks and processes for consistent decision-making
  • Prepare and deliver external client reports and presentations
  • Develop trusted relationships with assigned groups, agents, consultants and brokers
  • Support internal stakeholders in developing and implementing clinical analytics dashboards and solutions
  • Support external stakeholders with clinical analytics and decision support

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years related work experience
  • Clinical experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with web-based tools and analytic platforms
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Related bachelor’s degree or additional related equivalent work experience; additional relevant work experience may be substituted for degree
  • RN—Registered Nurse—state licensure and/or compact state licensure
  • CHC/PAHM within one year of employment
  • Experience in a matrix environment
  • Demonstrated communication and coordination skills managing multiple issues, including communications and planning
  • Ability to manage multiple complex business issues
  • Strong care management experience
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations
  • Strong business and analytics skills
  • Customer, member and sales-centric approach
  • Strong customer relations and relationship management skills
  • Occasional travel
  • Preferred: critical thinking skills, work ethic, motivation, personal initiative and maturity
  • Preferred: project management training/experience
  • Preferred: 3 or more years’ experience with account management
  • Sedentary work; exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally
