About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Facilitate and lead strategic planning for provider servicing, engagement, and enablement
  • Lead, direct, and manage multiple business function areas
  • Formulate and implement issue management strategies
  • Identify and communicate medical cost management initiatives
  • Define and lead a multi-tier issue management organization
  • Own the systemic issue pipeline and ensure recurring and high-impact issues are identified, root-caused, documented, and resolved
  • Govern continuous improvement and visual management systems, including daily huddles, tier boards, standard work documentation, and process adherence
  • Drive cross-functional and upstream accountability and close upstream process changes with stakeholders
  • Represent issue management priorities in cross-functional forums
  • Report operational health, KPI performance, issue trends, and outsourced partner performance to enterprise leadership
  • Build organizational capability through coaching, talent development, and succession planning

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years of related work experience in health business, compliance and legal background, customer experience management, or issue resolution and process improvement
  • 3+ years of direct supervisory/management experience
  • Related Bachelor’s degree or additional related equivalent work experience
  • Experience developing and executing strategies, business plans, and tactical plans
  • Knowledge of operational processes for the health insurance business
  • Experience developing and executing business tactical plans in compliance with laws and regulations
  • Strong knowledge of Commercial and Government market segments, health and ancillary products, and compliance requirements
  • Preferred: experience overseeing work activities and delivering results across external parties
  • Preferred: ability to develop and oversee project portfolios and process improvement programs
  • Preferred: experience developing and overseeing effective controls
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel to multiple locations for meetings, events, and conferences
  • Ability to perform sedentary work and occasionally exert up to 10 pounds of force
