About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide consultative support to organization management within strategic objectives and broad policy, typically supporting senior management
- Synthesize data and information and advise clients on options, risks, cost versus benefits, and impacts on business processes, systems, and employees
- Maintain frequent contact with internal and external business partners, including network providers, payers, and clinical leadership
- Obtain and share information to influence decisions, sell concepts, and provide advice affecting network objectives and business outcomes
- Understand the strategic direction of the business unit and organization
- Act as communications lead for the department
- Develop communication messaging and presentations for organization-wide presentation
- Act as spokesperson for leadership, as appropriate
- Oversee reporting, monitoring, and evaluation activities
- Lead, coach, and develop a small staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years of related work experience
- Related Bachelor’s degree or additional related equivalent work experience
- Writing sample demonstrating communication and analytical capabilities
- Occasional travel may be required, including for in-office meetings, collaborations, events, and other work-related activities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience advising leadership on provider communication strategies and performance
- Ability to maintain consistency in tone, style, and messaging across multiple documents and channels
- Excellent proofreading and editing skills
- Experience in network operations, provider relations, healthcare networks, or related provider-facing functions preferred
- Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects
- Sedentary work involving traversing activities only occasionally
