About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a strategic liaison between our Procurement and Legal teams.
  • Drive the development, negotiations, and management of our Master Service Agreements.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of contracts, addenda, amendments, and other procurement documents.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions with suppliers.
  • Provide expert guidance to Sourcing teams in drafting Master Service Agreements (MSA) and Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Facilitate initial negotiations between GuideWell and suppliers on contract Terms & Conditions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Procurement and Legal teams.
  • Identify and mitigate potential legal or regulatory risks in procurement transactions.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for the procurement team on regulatory considerations, contract negotiations, and procurement policies.
  • Support resolution of contractual disputes with vendors.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years related work experience.
  • Experience in procurement, contract management, or a legal-related role.
  • Successful redlining contract experience in moderate-to-high complexity contracts related to (may include but not limited to): Technology related Professional Services, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), Health Services.
  • Related Bachelor’s degree or additional related equivalent work experience.
  • Strong understanding of procurement regulations, contract law, and negotiation principles.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Solid contract drafting and terminology knowledge that includes understanding of subtleties of contract language, risk based language, contracting traps and pitfalls to avoid, document management and control, and legal acuity necessary to successfully negotiate mid-complexity contracts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively within an organization and diverse audiences.
  • Works effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining strong interpersonal relationships across stakeholder groups.
  • Proficient in contract management software, procurement tools, and office suite software (Outlook, Word, Excel).
