About the role
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring work is clearly defined, prioritized, and aligned with business objectives.
- Translate client and stakeholder needs into well-structured user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation.
- Balance near-term delivery priorities with long-term product scalability and maintainability.
- Maintain visibility into scope, dependencies, risks, and trade-offs.
- Work closely with engineers across iOS (Swift), Android (Kotlin), .NET, Node.js, and frontend teams to clarify requirements and support delivery.
- Partner with architects and technical leads to ensure product decisions align with architectural standards and constraints.
- Collaborate with designers using Figma to ensure usability, accessibility, and design intent are upheld.
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies including planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Serve as a key product contact for client stakeholders and internal teams.
- Communicate priorities, progress, and trade-offs clearly and confidently.
- Translate technical concepts into business language and business needs into executable delivery plans.
- Support roadmap planning, release coordination, and expectation management.
- Maintain working knowledge of systems and platforms being delivered, including:
- o Mobile and web applications
- o Backend services and APIs
- o SQL Server and Oracle databases
- o Azure-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
- Support products integrating with enterprise tools such as Radar/GeoMoby (geofencing), Oracle Recruiting Booster, Dropbox Sign, and AI-enabled services using Python, TypeScript, and Azure OpenAI.
- Ensure delivered features meet functionality, usability, and quality expectations.
- Validate work against acceptance criteria and business intent.
- Proactively identify risks, ambiguities, and dependencies, driving timely resolution.
- Continuously improve product practices, documentation, and collaboration workflows.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience in a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role within a software delivery environment.
- Experience supporting complex digital products involving mobile, backend, and cloud platforms.
- Strong understanding of agile delivery practices and product ownership responsibilities.
- Technical fluency and comfort collaborating closely with engineering teams (coding is not required).
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and design tools like Figma.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining focus on outcomes and value.
- Strong client communication and relationship management skills.
- Strategic thinking paired with a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset.
- Proactive problem-solving and sound judgment in complex environments.
- Confident cross-disciplinary collaboration with engineering, design, and delivery teams.
