About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and maintain REST APIs using FastAPI
Design secure, well-structured, and high-performance asynchronous endpoints
Work with JWT authentication, refresh tokens, and RBAC
Implement permission and profile-based access controls
Integrate internal and external systems via REST APIs and webhooks
Structure relational databases using SQLAlchemy Async
Perform relational modeling, queries, joins, indexes, migrations, and query optimization
Implement structured logging and centralized error handling
Work with Redis, caching, WebSockets, and asynchronous processing when required
Organize code in layers with a clear separation of responsibilities
Use Docker for running and standardizing the environment
Participate in meetings, technical alignments, validations, code reviews, sprint follow-ups, and operational tasks when requested by management, PM, PO, or technical leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 3 years professional experience in back-end development
Proven experience in real projects and production environments
Proficient in Python
Experience with FastAPI
Experience with REST APIs
Practical knowledge of asynchronous applications using async/await
Experience with SQLAlchemy 2.0 Async
Experience with PostgreSQL
Knowledge of relational modeling
Knowledge of complex JOINs, indexes, migrations, and query optimization
Experience with JWT authentication
Knowledge of RBAC and permission control
Experience integrating external APIs and webhooks
Knowledge of structured logging and centralized error handling
Experience with Docker and containers
Knowledge of Git
Ability to diagnose logs, bottlenecks, and operational failures
Good technical communication, analytical skills, autonomy, and commitment to deadlines
