About the role

  • Work in a hybrid model performing administration and development in an Oracle environment, ensuring performance, availability, and data integrity;
  • Proactively monitor the environment, identifying bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement;
  • Perform SQL and PL/SQL query tuning, as well as performance diagnostics and analysis (traces);
  • Validate and apply DML and DDL scripts across different environments (development, QA, and production);
  • Support backup, recovery, and high-availability routines together with the infrastructure team;
  • Develop and maintain database objects (stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers in PL/SQL);
  • Work on ETL processes and data integration, ensuring data quality and consistency;
  • Collaborate with development teams on data modeling and database access best practices;
  • Identify and optimize critical queries (indexes, query rewriting, hints);
  • Document processes, standards, and best practices related to the database;
  • Participate in code reviews and capacity planning activities;
  • Act as a bridge between infrastructure and development teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fields;
  • Experience with Oracle Database (12c/19c+);
  • Experience with SQL and PL/SQL;
  • Experience validating and applying DML and DDL scripts;
  • Experience with query tuning and performance diagnosis;
  • Experience building and maintaining stored procedures, functions, and packages;
  • Experience monitoring Oracle environments (OEM, AWR, ASH, alert logs);
  • Knowledge of a programming language (Java, Python, C# or similar);
  • Knowledge of ETL processes;
  • Familiarity with observability and tracing tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Oracle Trace) for system diagnosis.
