About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Development and optimization of SQL queries: Create, maintain and improve stored procedures, views, triggers, and functions, ensuring performance and data integrity.
- Database troubleshooting and resolution: Diagnose and fix performance issues and inefficient queries.
- Report development and maintenance: Develop financial and operational reports using T-SQL and Crystal Reports.
- Plus — VB6: Knowledge of or willingness to work with legacy applications developed in Visual Basic 6.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong experience with SQL Server and T-SQL: Proficiency in stored procedures, views, triggers, indexes, and query optimization.
- Ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and inconsistencies.
- Intermediate Excel: Data manipulation and analysis using pivot tables and core functions.
- Version control (Git): Experience with version control for effective collaboration.
- Availability to work 100% on-site in Monte Belo, MG (Brazil).
- Knowledge of VB6 for maintaining legacy systems.
- Previous experience in the financial sector, preferably with credit card systems.
- Familiarity with development best practices and agile methodologies.
