About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with the After School Program Manager, teachers, and students to facilitate high-quality extracurricular activities
- Supervise scholars and ensure their safety, development, growth, achievement, and general well-being
- Oversee student pick-up and supper, including attendance and grant compliance monitoring
- Assist and guide students through role modeling, emotional support, patience, and an engaging attitude
- Provide behavioral support and assistance to club/class instructors
- Develop and facilitate minimum-day recreational and educational activities for universal pre-kindergarten through 8th grade students
- Facilitate Friday activity and lesson groups
- Enforce school-wide expectations, the Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports framework, core principles, and health and wellness policy
- Guide students in developing academic and social-emotional skills
- Support planning, student recruitment, and implementation of Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer Camp Grow
- Supervise Saturday celebration activities and trips
- Maintain a neat, orderly, and attractive learning environment
- Perform other duties assigned by the After School Program Manager and Administrative Team
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma required
- A.A. degree or equivalent preferred
- 1 year of related experience
- Experience working with ELL students is a plus
- Fluency in Spanish preferred
- Experience working with large groups of children
