About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide care to residents in accordance with the LOKIA care guide, including:
- Provide morning and evening personal hygiene care
- Distribute meals and provide necessary assistance with feeding
- Assist residents with mobility and movements within the residence
- Maintain appropriate and continuous observation of residents
- Inform the nurse immediately of any change in behavior or any abnormal reaction observed in a resident
- Actively participate in recreational activities organized for residents
- Perform certain housekeeping tasks, including washing clothing and bedding
- Contribute to maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and infection prevention
- Strictly adhere to procedures and protocols established by the LOKIA group
- Administer medication only if the person holds the Loi 90 diploma and the required approval to administer medication
- Perform any other tasks as requested by their immediate supervisor.
Requirements
What you’ll need- DEP or AEP in Assistance to Individuals in Institutional and Home Settings
- RAC or RAC exemption letter AP-RPA (issued by a public Vocational Training Center - CFP)
- PDSP (formerly PDSB)
- Loi 90
- CPR (minimum 16-hour training) up to date
- 0 to 2 years in a similar position
