About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide care to residents in accordance with the LOKIA care guide, including:
  • Provide morning and evening personal hygiene care
  • Distribute meals and provide necessary assistance with feeding
  • Assist residents with mobility and movements within the residence
  • Maintain appropriate and continuous observation of residents
  • Inform the nurse immediately of any change in behavior or any abnormal reaction observed in a resident
  • Actively participate in recreational activities organized for residents
  • Perform certain housekeeping tasks, including washing clothing and bedding
  • Contribute to maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and infection prevention
  • Strictly adhere to procedures and protocols established by the LOKIA group
  • Administer medication only if the person holds the Loi 90 diploma and the required approval to administer medication
  • Perform any other tasks as requested by their immediate supervisor.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • DEP or AEP in Assistance to Individuals in Institutional and Home Settings
  • RAC or RAC exemption letter AP-RPA (issued by a public Vocational Training Center - CFP)
  • PDSP (formerly PDSB)
  • Loi 90
  • CPR (minimum 16-hour training) up to date
  • 0 to 2 years in a similar position
