About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, build, test, and operate software solutions for logistics and manufacturing use cases, including robots, AGVs, and semi-automated manufacturing equipment
- Work in hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments
- Manage complex software deployments at scale
- Monitor, maintain, and improve software uptime, reliable updates, latency, and efficiency
- Apply and build upon PLC or robot programming experience to advance Software Defined Manufacturing
- Bridge digital product delivery with physical logistics and manufacturing systems
- Define, monitor, and evolve SLAs, SLOs, and KPIs such as OEE
- Write software independently and collaboratively, including pair programming
- Deploy and roll out changes to live systems
- Operate and troubleshoot developed software during factory working hours
- Integrate and coordinate PLC, robot, and third-party systems manufacturing wall and slab elements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experienced software engineer
- Preferably background in manufacturing or logistics systems, PLC or robot programming, or software system operations in a smart factory
- Practical experience with infrastructure, observability, testing, deployment pipelines, quality assurance, and scaling
- Experience operating and supporting large-scale software systems in cloud and on-premises environments, or PLC and robot systems in a manufacturing or logistics facility
- Experience in companies with strong operational cultures, ideally in logistics or manufacturing
- Understanding of the commercial impact of system downtime
- Proficiency with most of: Kotlin, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Linux, PostgreSQL, Python, Bash, OPC-UA, PLC programming (e.g. TIA), and robot programming (e.g. KRL)
- Cloud Operations experience
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting practices for production systems
- Experience defining and working with SLAs/SLOs
- Willingness to travel to the manufacturing site in Richen and within Germany and Austria for in-person team events
